Lamium spp.
Similar to Glechoma hederacea L.
Ground Ivy can be confused with other members of the mint family such as henbit (Lamium amplexicaule) and purple deadnettle (Lamium purpureum); however, neither henbit nor purple deadnettle have trailing stems that root at the nodes. Leaves on first-year Ground Ivy plants may resemble garlic mustard (Alliaria petiolata), Persian speedwell (Veronica persica) and some violets (Viola spp.). None of these species have trailing, square stems like ground ivy.
